Hall & Kitchen Rental

Ideally located on the South end of Red Deer at 85 Boyce Street, our hall is the perfect place for birthdays, celebrations, corporate events, memorials, small weddings, and more!

Rental Rates

Hourly Rate

$40 per hour

Minimum 3 hour rental

Hourly rate not available on Saturdays

Full Day Rate

$400 per day

Notes

All rentals require a $200 security deposit.

Rental times listed in agreement must include set-up and clean-up time.

Only full-day bookings are accepted for Saturdays.

All hall rentals include access to the kitchen. See FAQ section below for details.

Booking Instructions

1. Check the Availability Calendar below for your preferred date. Note: The calendar will only show confirmed rentals. It will not show if there is already another Rental Agreement application in progress for your preferred date. All Rental Agreements will be processed according to date received by the bookings manager.

​2. Review the FAQ section below to see what is available/included with your rental to save time for both you and our bookings manager.

 

3. Review the Rules & Regulations​

4. If the hall is available and all information has been reviewed, complete the Rental Agreement. Save the completed form on your computer.

 

5. Send an email message with your completed Rental Agreement attached to: bookings@bowercommunity.ca 

​

6. The bookings manager will reply by email confirming your reservation and will notify you of any further instructions. 

​

7. Your rental of the premises will not be effective, and access to the premises will not be granted, until the rental amount and the damage deposit have been received. 

​

8. You may make payment by e-transfer to treasurer@bowercommunity.ca or by cheque to Bower Place Community Association.

  • What can I use in the kitchen?
    Thanks to some amazing community support and fundraising, our kitchen was fully renovated in 2024. Rental of the kitchen includes the use of a fridge with freezer, stove, microwave, dishwasher with 30 minute express cycle, double sink, ample counter space, and a window opening to the hall. There are 2 - 30 cup urns for renters to use, as well as a small electric kettle and 12-cup coffee maker (uses cone filters). We do not supply plates or other dinnerware, cups, utensils, or tablecloths.
  • What washroom facilities are available?
    The hall has access to two washrooms. The first washroom has 1 stall and urinals, and the second washroom has 3 stalls. Each washroom includes an accessible stall and change tables.
  • What is included when you book the hall?
    If you book the hall, you also have access to the kitchen, 2 washrooms, a coat room, and the items listed below. TABLES & CHAIRS • 10 - 2' x 6' rectangular tables • 2 - 2' x 3' rectangular tables • 11 - 60" round tables • 1 - 2' x 8' rectangular table • 100 chairs • 3 high chairs KITCHEN EQUIPMENT - Stove - Microwave - Fridge with freezer - Sink - Dishwasher CONSUMABLE ITEMS SUPPLIED - Paper Towel - Toilet Paper - Hand Soap - Dish Soap - Disinfectant Spray - Hand Sanitizer - Garbage Bags/Cans OTHER ITEMS - Mounted Projector Screen - Piano - Mop - Broom - Step Stool - Wifi - First Aid Kit We have access to a sound system for in-house rentals for an additional fee - please message bookings@bowercommunity.ca to inquire!
  • What outdoor amenities are available?
    In the southeast corner of the building right behind the hall, there is a concrete patio with benches as well as 2 firepits and picnic tables. On the grounds, there are 2 playgrounds, 2 basketball courts, soccer pitches, a ball diamond, and walking trails. In the winter, there are two boarded ice rinks with lights. Please note that all outdoor amenities are for public use and therefore you may have to share these spaces.
  • Does the hall have air conditioning?
    No, however thanks to its concrete construction, the hall stays quite comfortable even through the summer. If needed, we do have floor fans available to position throughout the hall as well as an exhaust fan that can be turned on to draw hot air out of the hall.
  • What tables & chairs are available?
    In addition to 100 chairs, the hall has the following tables available for use: 10 - 2' x 6' rectangular tables 2 - 2' x 3' rectangular tables 11 - 60" round tables 1 - 2' x 8' rectangular table
  • Can alcohol be served and consumed in the Bower-Kin Place?
    Yes but a liquor license must be provided to the Bookings Coordinator. To apply for a AGLC liquor permit, click here. We also require the purchase of Party Liquor insurance for the event.
  • What is the fire code capacity?
    The hall side of the facility maximum occupancy load is: Space with Non-Fixed Seats - 155 Space with Non-Fixed Seats/Tables - 122 Dining/Beverage - 97
  • Is there WIFI available?
    Yes! The bookings coordinator will give you the details.
  • What are the rental rates?
    All bookings require a $200 security deposit (cash or cheque). Hall & Kitchen: The hall can be rented for $40.00 per hour for a minimum of 3 hours. Members of the BPCA can rent the hall for $35.00. On Saturdays, there is only a full day rental price of $400.00. Members of the BPCA can rent on Saturdays for $375.00.   • What payment methods are accepted?
    The BPCA accepts cheque, cash, or e-transfer. E-transfers can be sent to treasurer@bowercommunity.ca, cheques can be made out to Bower Place Community Association, and cash deliveries can be arranged by messaging bookings@bowercommunity.ca.
