January 14

Tabitha Phirri will come and talk to us about her experiences as a new immigrant to Canada and Red Deer.

January 28

Calling all card sharks - Game afternoon! Come out and have a fun afternoon playing your favorite game.

February 11

Valentine's Day is crafting day! Come out and learn quilling or decorate a pot.

February 25

April Weber from Weber Physiotherapy will be doing a presentation.

March 11

Crystal Genge from Hear Right will join us to talk about hearing loss. Learn the signs and the consequences of hearing loss.

March 25

Waskasoo Environmental Group will be presenting about the history of Fort Normandeau.

April 8

Helen Dobson will do a travel presentation on her latest trip to Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam. Take an exotic trip without leaving Red Deer!

April 22

Starts at 12:30pm. Join us for a delightful Easter potluck meal! Ham will be provided. Sign up sheets will be available at our meetings to let us know what you would like to contribute. Remember to bring a recipe for the cookbook, along with your name and some details about your dish.

May 13

Brian St. Germain will be our guest speaker delivering information about the Metis culture.

May 27

Jennifer Powell will guide us in searching out our family history using a free app called Family Search.

June 10

Starts at 12:30pm. Join us for the year-end potluck dinner! Bring your favorite dish to share , and let’s celebrate this special occasion together with great food and joyful company.

Community Connections 60+ (CC60+) is a volunteer led program operating under the Bower Community Association in Red Deer, Alberta.

 

Our mission is to provide meaningful social activities, events, entertainment and learning opportunities designed to enhance the lives of senior citizens at the Bower Community Hall where neighbors meet to connect. Everyone is welcome.
