News Release:
The Bower Place Community Association has received funding from the Government of Canada’s "New Horizons for Seniors" Program for a Bower Community Connections 60+ project called “Connect, Communicate, Unite, Educate" for Bower Community Seniors. The funds will be used to purchase computers and hire an instructor where seniors can learn and practice their technology and digital skills. Volunteers knowledgeable with computers will assist seniors at
each class alongside the instructor.

The Program is a federal grants and contributions program whose goal is to support projects that help improve the well-being of seniors and foster social inclusion and engagement in their communities.

Community Connections 60+ (CC60+) is a volunteer led program operating under the Bower Community Association in Red Deer, Alberta.

 

Our mission is to provide meaningful social activities, events, entertainment and learning opportunities designed to enhance the lives of senior citizens at the Bower Community Hall where neighbors meet to connect. Everyone is welcome.
